Workplace Pregnancy Loss Pledge
We’ve taken the workplace pregnancy loss pledge.
NORI HR And Employment have taken the Miscarriage and Pregnancy Loss Pledge.
The standard asks employers to understand and implement the rules around pregnancy-related leave, create a supportive work environment, to have a policy or guidance in place, to ensure line managers have access to resources to help them manage a difficult situation and to support people, including partners, back to work by showing flexibility wherever possible.
NORI HR And Employment have taken the Miscarriage and Pregnancy Loss Pledge means we agree to :
Encourage a supportive work environment where people feel able to discuss and disclose pregnancy and/or loss without fear of being disadvantaged or discriminated against.
Understand and implement the rules around pregnancy-related leave, ensuring staff feel able to take the time off they need.
Show empathy and understanding towards people and their partners experiencing pregnancy loss.
Implement a pregnancy loss policy or guidance, or ensure it is included in sickness, bereavement or other workplace policies – being mindful of the needs of partners, too.
Encourage line managers to access in-house or external guidance (such as that available on the MA website) on how to support someone experiencing pregnancy loss.
Support people back to work by being responsive to their needs and showing flexibility wherever possible.

Kickstart Scheme Provider
Supporting Young People Into Work
We are delighted to be a registered provider to the Governments Kickstart Scheme jobs creation initiative and are recruiting up to 77 new employees.
The scheme, created in response to the Covid-19 pandemic, aims to reduce the risk of long-term unemployment for people aged 16 to 24. In addition, the scheme will support young people to develop their personal employment skills, provide experience within the workplace and help them move into sustained employment after they have completed the 6 month programme.
We are delighted to have received national feedback and recognition for our contributions to supporting people into employment including NORI HR being highlighted in a Parliamentary exchange at Westminster (recorded on Hansard).
We have also received recognition from Minister for Employment, Mims Davies MP stating “It’s fantastic to see NORI HR & Employment Law become a Kickstart employer, giving young jobseekers in Accrington a vital chance to get on the jobs ladder” .
Our local constituency MP for Hyndburn, Sara Britcliffe added ”It’s fab to see a local Hyndburn business like NORI HR using the Kickstart scheme to boost its growth and give out-of-work young people the chance of an exciting new career. This is exactly what we need to see if we’re to build back better as we emerge from the shadow of Coronavirus.”
