2022 focused on and emphasised investment in support for award-winning service.
As we approach 2023, we are reflecting on another amazing year for NORI HR and Employment Law. This year, we have focused on investing in new processes, technologies and people. This support-focused investment has been an integral factor in our continued growth and delivering award-winning, 24/7/365 first-class support.
In 2022, NORI HR introduced various initiatives throughout the business to grow the support provision for clients. Investments were made in our team, including the promotion of Senior HR Advisor Dawn Hughes, recruiting document writer Lorna Harvey-Lowe and an additional Senior HR Advisor Gary Foster, as well as further training and advanced HR Administrative role for Cindy Singleton. We have also invested further in our systems, ensuring we have the latest customer support management and communications system.
Dawn Hughes promoted to Head of HR Services
Dawn Hughes, who joined the company in the position of Senior HR Advisor in January 2021 was promoted to Head of HR Services. Dawn is thoroughly enjoying her new role which in addition to supporting clients with HR and Employment Law advice, also focuses on the management and delivery of client services, including implementation of new services in the future.
Dawn says “After 18 months as a Senior HR Advisor, I was honoured to be recognised for this promotion. Another huge thanks to the management team at NORI HR and Employment Law for acknowledging my hard work. I am really enjoying having more responsibility, being involved in the implementation of new services and engagement with clients in this role. I’m looking forward to 2023 and seeing what is to come for NORI HR and Employment Law as we continue to be the best HR and Employment Law specialists for business.”
Gary Foster joins NORI HR
One of Dawn’s first tasks was to recruit and appoint an additional Senior HR Advisor to the support team. Gary Foster joins with over 16 years’ experience in outsourced HR and Employment Law and has supported developing and established SMEs including national and international brand names across a wide range of sectors.
Dawn commented “Gary has made a great addition to the NORI HR team. He has demonstrated skill, knowledge and his vast experience of HR and Employment Law and has received lots of great feedback from clients regarding his approach to advice. We are delighted to have Gary in the team.”
Cindy Singleton completes HR Administration training
Cindy Singleton has completed a training programme to enhance the companies HR administrative services for their clients. This means HR360 clients can utilise additional resources to offload their HR administrative tasks and benefit even more from their HR Management Software, giving them more time to concentrate on the day to day activities of their own business.
Lorna Harvey-Lowe joins NORI HR
In November, NORI HR and Employment Law invested further in documentation services by hiring Document Writer, Lorna. Lorna joined NORI HR with 5 years HR experience and has recently graduated with her CIPD Level 5 in Human Resources. Lorna joining the team will allow NORI HR to offer more documentation services to new and existing clients, in addition to 24/7/365 HR advice. The investment in documentation services also included partnering with payment provider iwoca. This will allow clients to spread costs of documents and payments, interest free.
Telephone & Systems Enhancements
Management systems play a key role in any business and although they are not something a client necessarily has sight of, they are an integral tool to ensuring the Senior HR Advisor team can collate case history in a clear and time sensitive manner to be able to provide considered and informed advice.
Managing Director Amrita Govindji-Bruce said “From inception, we have focussed on ensuring we are using the latest management and workflow software and have recently implemented new updates as well as integrating with a new telephony system. This gives us more flexibility and insight than ever before to enhance our services to both our own direct clients and our White Label HR & Employment Law clients and end users”.
“We want to ensure we give our team the best tools and support possible to be able to enjoy their work. That means they can combine their expertise with confidence in our infrastructure to deliver a quality and friendly service to our clients.”
“Gary has settled in really well and we’ve received great client feedback to the way he approaches and delivers advice. Dawns promotion means we can maintain a clear focus, checks and balances on the support we provide as we scale in size and Cindy’s enhanced role has provided even more value to clients that can offload their HR administration to us. Lorna has also been a fantastic addition to NORI HR and we couldn’t be happier with how well she has integrated into the team and adapted to her new role”.
CSR & #12in12for12
Corporate social responsibility has always been important to us. We love to support people whether it be local charities or nationwide initiatives. In early 2022, we launched our #12in12for12 campaign which aimed to support twelve local charities through twelve events within twelve months. The support we have received from clients and our network has been truly amazing. From a 15,000ft skydive and sleeping outdoors to competitive quiz nights and a charity ball. You can read about the remainder of our challenges on the #12in12for12 page.
We have also, for a second year running, contributed towards the cost of a room at The Ronald McDonald House for a year. This room will allow families of children receiving treatment at The Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital or St Mary’s Neonatal Unit. It is a privilege to be involved and contribute towards such a fantastic cause”.
Co Managing Director Jason Govindji-Bruce added “We have been so impressed, and are so thankful to those who have supported, donated to, and joined in with our CSR campaign. Charity has always been so important to us all, both personally and as a business. We are looking forward to the remaining events and cannot wait to see the final result, and how much our #12in12for12campaign has raised’.
