The Challenge
“As a business with a small team, it is so important that we all work well together.
We have a busy hair and beauty salon in the centre of Clitheroe with regular client bookings and walk ups, meaning our staff are always busy and in demand.
Then Covid-19 hit and the world became a very different place. The door was closed as the Government put the country into lockdown. Bookings and income stopped overnight. The team had no work, but of course still needed paying.
Furlough Scheme
Thankfully the Furlough Scheme was introduced meaning we could potentially look after our team for a few months. The idea of Furlough sounds simple, but as many business owners have found, the process is not. Get the paperwork wrong and it is going to be a very costly exercise with HMRC.
This is when we really had to look at our salon HR processes and procedures to understand how to apply to Furlough and all related HR questions. We needed someone we could trust!
“Thankfully, we found NORI HR & Employment Law and immediately they gave myself as a business owner, absolute peace of mind at a really great price.”

Is a Hair Dresser or Beautician a Worker, Self Employed, or Employed?
“Not only have they taken us through the full Furlough process, they have also:
I have literally bombarded Jason and Amrita with so many questions. They have been amazing and personable throughout.
NORi HR support me with all my letters and communications so that I know what I am saying and doing is legally correct, as well as acknowledging I need to apply my personal touch of how I want it to come across to my team. They never make it sound too legal and cut out a lot of the jargon.”
“I could not recommend NORI HR & Employment Law enough. They have taken away the worry and managed all my HR compliance perfectly.”
